Lead Screamer, The PryBirds
November 2025 – Riffuge North: Now Open

Hey, misfits and melody makers,

It’s your boy Vincent Krell here, grinning like a madman because Riffuge North – Denver is planned to be officially open to the public this November! After months of late-night tracking, too much caffeine, and enough pad Thai containers to build a small fortress, we’re ready to throw open the doors and invite you into our new creative home.

Let me break it down for you: this place isn’t just a studio. It’s a sound sanctuary, a creative collision zone, and a no-judgment jam temple where noise becomes magic. We’ve been quietly (okay, loudly) laying down tracks since midsummer, and what’s already come out of this place… let’s just say the walls are practically sweating riffs.

The Sound So Far

The first band to bless the space was, of course, The Ghost Riff Riders—Ryder Mason himself grumbled something poetic about the sound in the main live room being “like breaking through the veil with a flaming guitar.” That track? Absolutely spiritual violence wrapped in groove metal gold. Luna Grey brought in a string quartet for a haunting bridge that made half of us cry and the other half start new bands on the spot.

Then came Gordon Carroway, who accidentally started a synthwave breakdown during a heavy doom session—don’t ask how it happened, but we rolled with it, and it’s now the breakdown of the year. They called it “Apocalypse Carnival.” You’ll know it when you hear it.

The PryBirds, naturally, took the night shift. There’s a song we’re working on called “Static Halo”—recorded in almost complete darkness except for a projection of old ‘70s sci-fi films on the wall. Our drummer, Cass, kept missing hits because she was laughing too hard at the soundtrack of lasers and cowboys. But we got it done. It’s raw, honest, and weird—in other words, classic us.

The Takeout Diaries

We’ve got a little bet going on the staff whiteboard called “Guess That Stain.” It’s mostly soy sauce, tikka masala, or whatever haunted chimichangas Jaxon from the Riff Riders keeps ordering from that food truck that may or may not be registered with the local health board. Last count: 147 takeout menus. We’re curating a wall of them next to the merch room. It’s like a museum of bad decisions and beautiful creativity.

One night, around 3AM, Luna and I co-wrote a melody on the back of a pizza box because every notebook was either lost or covered in queso. That pizza box is now framed in the lounge. We call it The Cheesiest Hook. (the song will not be released but it was fun to make)

What’s Next?

Now it’s your turn. Whether you’re a touring band, a solo singer-songwriter, a producer chasing your next obsession, or a wide-eyed beginner with a dream and a broken amp—Riffuge North will soon be ready for you. Our engineers are dialed in. The coffee is always brewing. And the spirit of collaboration runs deep in these walls.

We’ve got open studio hours, sound healing sessions, and late-night jam labs coming up. Also: open mic nights that turn into closed-door sessions when the magic starts happening. This place is alive. We plan on local concerts when the paperwork gets approved from the city.

So come make noise with us. Cry. Shred. Build something strange and beautiful.

Riffuge North isn’t just a studio—it’s a movement, a haven, and home.

See you in the live room.

P.S. If you bring food, label it. We’ve had three serious incidents involving mystery burritos. (not joking)
